We first met Sheryl about a year ago when she was a bridesmaid at Kelly's wedding. Now it was her turn to be the bride. We met the girls at Level hairdressers where hair and makeup was well under way and excitement and nerves were starting to gain momentum.
We left the girls to their finishing touches and set off for Sheryl's parents home to photograph the dress and accessories. The flowers were delivered and soon the girls arrived to help Sheryl into her Justin Alexander dress.
We happened to notice that Sheryl's dad was putting on two pairs of socks which we thought rather strange but he soon explained that one pair were the lucky socks and that they had to be worn to keep the weather on our side. It was grey and windy but so far it wasn't raining!
After a little time with Sheryl we left for Kingston Lacey church to meet Tom and his Groomsmen, it was now feeling a little colder and the driveway up to the church was lined with trees whose leaves were turning and there was certainly an autumnal feeling in the air.
Sheryl arrived and with a few finishing touches outside the church she was ready for the procession up the aisle to meet Tom.
With the ceremony over and a few photos in the churchyard we set off for the beach. It was now quite cold so we didn't spend too long at the beach and headed off for the sheltered gardens at The Chine Hotel where the reception was being held.
The guests were treated to a harpist playing while they enjoyed the wedding breakfast and with the speeches over and a quick rehearsal of the first dance the guests were gathering for the first dance which was quite amazing, a more upbeat than the usual slow number performed by Jumpin a band from Hertfordshire, who did an amazing job by keeping everyone on the dance floor including some of the younger guests.
We would like to thank Tom and Sheryl for their hospitality and wish them all the very best for their future together. We look forward to seeing them again when they return from honeymoon.
