Andrew & Charlotte's Wedding 25th September 2009

Yet another glorious September day!

Hair and make-up was well under way when we arrived at Charlotte's parents house. The flowers had been delivered so we got on with photographing them, they still had droplets of water on them where they had been sprayed, this always makes for a nice photo.

Charlotte was excited about the day ahead and wasn't showing any nerves, she stood quite calmly while her Mum helped by the bridesmaids was lacing up her dress.

We took advantage of the big window in the lounge to get some stunning photos of the bride which really suit black and white tones.

We went on to meet the groom, bestmen and ushers for some formal and informal shots of them before the guests started to arrive.

The reception was held at the MacDonald Botley Park Hotel. Arrival drinks were served in the orchard where we took photos of the bridal party and the Bride and Groom before they headed off for the wedding breakfast.

While the guests were enjoying their meal a casino was being set up in the bar area as a surprise which was going to entertain them while the main reception room was being turned round for the evening. Charlotte's first bet on the roulette table was on number 25 (the date) and it proved to be a winner!
Another lady (the make-up artist) also seemed to have a run of luck with the numbers, she was getting quite excited!

We would like to thank Andrew and Charlotte for their hospitality (the food was great) and also extend our thanks to their families. You all made us feel very welcome.

We wish Andrew and Charlotte all the very best for their future together.

Alex & Alison's Wedding 19th September 2009

We had met Alex and Alison at the church the night before their wedding for the rehearsal. Whenever possible we like to do this as it gives us the opportunity to meet the bridal party before the big day. The day had been cold and grey and we hoped that this would change for the wedding day.

The day dawned and it was looking good, September seems to be the month for good weather!

We arrived at bride's home to find everything under control, hair and make-up was well under way. The flowers arrived so we got on with photographing the preparations, dress and so on.

Alison and her bridesmaids were ready early which is quite unusual but very welcome. It's so nice not having to rush through this part of the day.

We headed off to meet the groom, bestman and ushers at the church, St John's Bere Regis, before the bride arrived.

Alison's arrival was prompt thanks to John who drove her to church, John and Barbara are friends of the family and were delighted to provide the car (champagne for the journey to the reception as well!), we had time for a few photos before she was escorted by The Reverend Ian Woodward up the church path and down the aisle to Judy (Alison's mum) who was waiting to give her away.

The church had been decorated with flowers by Valarie another friend of the family.

After the ceremony the formal family photographs were taken outside the church door and confetti was thrown before going on to the reception at Athelhampton House.

We took the bridal party into one of the gardens for a few photos before heading of for a quick trip of the gardens with just the bride and groom.

The couple returned to their guests for a photograph with everyone and a few with some friends before greeting everyone in a line up.

The reception area had been decorated with flowers by Wendy, another friend of the family.

As with many weddings nowadays the speeches were before the meal with all the usual thank yous, some ridiculing of the groom by the bestman which ended of course with some true sincerity of good wishes for the happy couple's future together. No doubt all of this was captured on video by Duncan (Alison's cousin).

Alex and Alison are now enjoying their honeymoon in Sorrento, we hope you enjoy it there as much as we did, we found it a truly romantic place and it would be idlylic for a honeymoon. We wish you all the very best for your future together as husband and wife.

We would like to thank Owen from Athelhampton house for the food and attention that he gave us, it was very much appreciated and nice to be made to feel welcome.

Sydney & Yvonne's Wedding 12th September 2009

Sydney and Yvonne married at All Saint's, Branksome Park on Saturday 12th September 2009. The day was warm and sunny. Relatives and friend's from near and far joined them for the ceremony at the church.

The reception was held at The Priory in Wareham. Another of our favourite venues for photography. On arrival at the reception the guests enjoyed a glass of Pimms out in the garden while we took the couple off deeper into the gardens for a few special photos of the two of them.

The sun was shining, Sydney was smiling, Yvonne sparkled, all of this in a beautiful location and with a blue sky, it couldn't have been better!

We took the couple back along the riverbank , several boatowners called out congratulating them as we made our way back to the guests for one last photograph of everyone on the lawn before  the wedding breakfast.

We wish Sydney and Yvonne all the very best for their future together.

Milestones Session1 - Matilda 4th September 2009

Congratulations to John and Alice on the birth of their second daughter Matilda.

We met John and Alice in 2006 when Dave photographed their wedding and we have remained in contact ever since.

We were delighted when we heard that John and Alice were expecting their first child Charlotte, which coincided with us introducing 'Milestones'.

Milestones captures the first formative year of a child's life. Over 6 sessions we capture the final weeks of pregnancy, the new arrival, the first smiles and expressions, sitting, crawling, the first steps and birthday. The images are presented in a 'coffee table' style book and from each session we include a free 9"x 6" print.

Charlotte was our first 'Milestones' child, we always look forward to seeing her, we watched her grow and saw her character develop . She always had a smile for us and was very obliging which helped achieve some fabulous images of her at home, in the countryside and at the beach.

We are delighted that John and Alice want the same for Matilda, we have just completed session  one and here are some of the images. We look forward to the next session.

and Charlotte can't resist getting in on the act!
