Kris & Samantha's Wedding 18th September 2010

A short trip across Bournemouth to the home of Samantha's parents found us in familiar surroundings. Just 3 years ago we were here to photograph the wedding of Katie, Samantha's sister who was now taking on the role of Bridesmaid.

We photographed the late stages of the bridal preparations and some bridal portraits. Samantha was ready on time and looked amazing in her dress from Daisy bridal while over at Branksome Chine cafe our other photographer Julian was capturing the men enjoying a drink before they headed off to All Saints church in Branksome.

Samantha arrived to a church full of guests eagerly awaiting her arrival.
She took her place next to Kris for the marriage ceremony. After a lovely service the couple left the church as husband and wife and with the traditional throwing of confetti at the church gate the guests were invited to join the couple for photos in the grounds of the church hall.

Kris and Samantha wanted their photos taken on the beach so we did this while their guests made their way to The Sandbanks Hotel. The weather was glorious, even better than forecast. Kris and Sam rejoined their guests after being greeted by Sebastien, the wedding co-ordinator with a very welcome glass of champagne.

The wedding breakfast was served and after the main course the speeches were delivered by the bride's father, the Groom and the best man.

The first dance was to an acoustic guitar played by Nick a friend of the couple before the disco provided the music for the rest of the evenings celebrations.

We wish Kris and Samantha all the very best for their future together and would like to thank them for their hospitality, we look forward to seeing them when they return from honeymoon.

Andy & Liz's Wedding 17th September 2010

We set off for Somerset on Thursday evening and stayed overnight so that we would be close for Andy and Liz's wedding in Lympsham the following day. Staying the night before takes away the pressure of a long journey on the day and any unforeseen hold ups.

We arrived in the midst of the bridal preparations, everything was going to plan, the girls were ready ahead of time and looked stunning in their dresses.
Last year Liz and Ruth had been bridesmaids at Sarah's wedding,it was nice to catch up with them all again.

A short journey took us to Batch Country House the venue for today's ceremony and celebrations. The Groom and Groomsmen were all 'suited and booted' and enjoying a drink. The sky had turned quite grey and Andy was deliberating on whether the ceremony should be taken inside. Liz was so wanting the ceremony to be held in the garden and holding the decision off for a little longer paid off.

Liz arrived with her brother John who was giving her away and Sarah and Ruth, her bridesmaids, in a Volkswagen camper van. They had no idea that this was how they were going to be arriving, it had been organised as a surprise.

The ceremony was very personal and included a poem read by two of the couples nephews who spoke clearly and confidently and were rewarded with a round of applause.

After the drinks reception the formal group photos were taken before we headed off into the grounds with the bridal party and then with just Liz and Andy.

Liz didn't stop smiling on her wedding day and we're sure that these few images will keep her smiling. We look forward to seeing Andy and Liz again soon to show them the rest of their photos before we release them on our website , in the meantime we hope you enjoy this selection.

We wish Andy and Liz all the very best for their future together.
