Richie & Dani's Wedding 28th August 2010

An early start today on a beautiful late summer's morning, we set off for Damerham, a village near Fordingbridge in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. We started at the farm house photographing the dress, flowers and accessories waiting for Dani to return from the hairdresser while our other photographer Julian met the guys at The Compasses Inn enjoying a leisurely breakfast.

The guys arrived in traditional country style on tractors making sure that everyone in the village was aware of the wedding with a lot of horn blowing.
Ernie, the ring bearer stole the moment at the church door in his neat tailored suit. No he wasn't the page boy but the couple's dog who was bestowed a great honour by being the keeper of the rings.

Dani's choice of arrival I'm sure was to do with her love of horses with a classy horse and carriage. She arrived with her Dad, Mum and Sisters and proceeded into the church with her bridesmaids. She looked stunning.

The ceremony was very personal with readings by two of the ushers, Ed and Mike and a joke or two by the vicar amused the congregation. During the signing of the register, Liz (a star in the making), the Groom's niece sang a beautiful rendition of Ave Maria.

A few photos in the church grounds and the couple departed for their reception in a marquee in one of the farm's fields. With everyone at the venue it was time for a photo of everyone. With this number of guests we needed height so Dave was secured in a basket on the front of a tractor and elevated above the group. Ernie was quick to seize the opportunity while no one was looking for a quick drink of Pimms - he's certainly got taste!

After the wedding breakfast and speeches we took the couple off to the village for a few special photos by the river. Dani and Richie enjoyed this time alone and we got some great photos.

After a short break the couple had time to freshen up before returning to meet their evening guests and to start the evening off with their first dance.

We enjoyed this country wedding and would like to thank everyone for their co-operation and hospitality. Tom the best man executed his duties impeccably and was invaluable, thanks Tom.

Dani and Richie are now on honeymoon and we wish them all the best for their future together and we look forward to seeing them again soon.

We hope you enjoy these few selected photos from the day and remember to visit our client area (don't forget the password) once we have seen Dani and Richie, to see all the photos from the day.

James & Louise's Wedding 27th August 2010

The weather in the week leading up to the Bank Holiday weekend had been awful. The rain just didn't seem to stop and we knew that our wedding couples for the weekend were anxious. We had a very busy weekend with three weddings.

Our first wedding was at the East Cliff Hotel and finally the weather had broken and the sun was shining for Jamie and Louise. We had first met Louise about a year ago when she was bridesmaid for her friend Kate, their roles now reversed for Louise's wedding.

Louise looked stunning in her dress from Prettymades and the bridesmaids, dresses from Daisy Bridal, complimented the look. Lou was very calm and composed until just before the ceremony when the emotions of the day caught up with her and a tear or two was shed. The ceremony too was very emotional and personal.

With the formalities over the couple were followed by their guests to the Carlton Hotel grounds for a drinks reception enjoyed in the early afternoon sunshine.

With the family and friends photos completed and a few of the Bride and Groom it was back to the East Cliff for a fabulous wedding breakfast. The food was fantastic.

Lou and Jamie wanted to go to the beach for a few photos so with the speeches over and the room being set up for the evening we jumped in the car and headed off for Durley Chine.

The tide had gone out leaving a few pools of water which provided some wonderful reflections. We made good use of our time with the couple using the beach, promenade and beach huts.

Back at the hotel the evening guests were arriving and were welcomed by the happy couple who were preparing themselves for the first dance.

The first dance started with Lou and Jamie doing a smooch to a Lionel Richie song but within a few seconds they broke apart and were joined by the bridal party to their guests amazement to do a dance to Soul Control Chocolate song
also known as Choco Choco or Choco Latte, it was very different and enjoyed by all.

To continue with the chocolate theme a chocolate fountain was then enjoyed by everyone!

We wish Lou and Jamie all the very best for the future and look forward to seeing them when they return from their honeymoon.

Dominic and Nichola's Wedding 20th August 2010

The Chine Hotel was the venue for Dom and Nicky's wedding, it was also the second day of the air show so we left early to get to the hotel to avoid the traffic and to make sure that we could park.

It was an overcast day and a little windy but so far the rain was holding off. As we were early we got on with photographing the table decorations and flowers before heading off to meet the Groom at the hotel entrance. The guests were soon arriving and were shown to the ceremony area in the Pineview ballroom.

The bridesmaids arrived and were waiting for Nicky's to arrive in style in one of Barnes vintage style cars. Nicky looked absolutely stunning in her dress from Daisy Bridal.

After the ceremony the newly married couple went off for a short ride in the car to enjoy a few moments alone while the guests enjoyed a drink in the garden.

The couple were then joined by the bridal party, who we had a laugh or two with, in the landscaped garden for some photographs before rejoining their guests for some formal photographs before the wedding breakfast. As there was a lot of cloud cover, the planes for the airshow were restricted to fly pasts which were happening right overhead while we were taking photos, which provided entertainment for the guests and a challenge for us!

The cutting of the cake, which was made by Penny a family friend, preceded the speeches. Simon, a friend of Dom, had arranged for several recorded messages of good luck from some of Watford football team players and from Millie a heart broken Sky sports presenter who had to now accept that Dom was no longer available!

Dom and Nicky were keen for some photos on the beach so as soon as the formalities were over we headed off to the beach and Boscombe Pier. The lighting was lovely and as we got to the pier the lights started to come on which we made good use of.

Just as we returned to the hotel for the evening celebrations it started to rain, how lucky had Dom and Nicky been so far as the weather was concerned.

Dom and Nicky are now on honeymoon in Mauritius, no doubt the weather is better there than here.

We would like to thank Dom and Nicky for their hospitality and wish them all the very best for their future together and look forward to seeing them on their return from honeymoon.
