Carl and Claire's Wedding 25th June 2010

Another hot Summer's day with wall to wall sunshine and temperatures into the high 70's.

We met Claire with her Mum and bridesmaids in the midst of their preparations at The Captains Club in Christchurch. Their suite overlooked the river, the ideal location on a summers day.

The girls in turn were having their hair and make-up done and all was on schedule thanks to the timetable that Claire had prepared for everyone to work to. Organisation like this can make such a difference and keeps eveyone focused.

The make-up artist was Kate Carroll, one of our previous brides and the sister of Jayne, one of Claire's bridesmaids. Kate has recently won an award with Estee Lauder and a trip to New York. We've seen Kate several times this year, we love her make-up, she is very professional and has an eye for detail, we love working with her!

The girls were soon getting into their dresses and Claire looked stunning in her gown from Chameleon. A popular bridal boutique for this years brides.
A quick wave from the girls at the window before they joined us for some photos by the river.

On to Highcliffe Castle for the ceremony where we met the guys. We used the North Porch where it was shaded and a little cooler. This area lends itself for photographs, the Bride also stops here to meet the Registrars.

Claire arrived in a vintage Bentley and while she was talking to the registrars the driver took the roof off for her arrival, we couldn't resist the chance of a fun photo with the car being pushed.

The ceremony was held in the Wintergarden and the drinks reception on the lawn where the group photos were taken. Amelia the little flowergirl also allowed us a few informal shots!

The last ceremony of the day at Highcliffe allows the couple to have their reception there and while the guests were enjoying their drinks we took off to the beach for a short time with the Bride and Groom.

After the wedding breakfast we returned to the North Porch with the Bride and Groom for a few photos before returning the couple for their first dance.

The evenings entertainment was provided by 'The Lemongrove' a popular local jazz band.

We wish Carl and Claire all the very best for their future together and hope that they are enjoying their honeymoon in Lake Garda.
